WHY DUCK?

The majority of allergens in dogs appear to be beef, wheat, dairy and chicken; duck is an excellent alternative.

Duck features in a couple of our recipes due to being a valuable source of protein, as well as being lean and nutrient-dense.

It is great tasting and provides so many important nutrients that contribute to overall health and well-being, including:

  • Selenium
  • Iron
  • Zinc
  • Essential Amino Acids – Supporting strong muscles
  • Omega-3 Fatty acids – Essential for brain and heart health
  • B Vitamins
  • Potassium – Important role in maintaining the fluid balance in the body and vital role in the normal functioning of nerves and muscles
  • Phosphorus – Essential for strong bones and teeth

WHEN NOT DUCK?

Depending on where you are getting your food from, it is always worth checking the ingredient list to make sure you know what they are eating. Our recipes do not contain meat meal.

If your dog is overweight or has a history of pancreatitis, duck is best fed in moderation.
